Im still alive...

Its been a year and a half... whats changed?

 

I graduate UCF in May.
Im Married to the Beautiful Susan Cartledge
Im a father. Unfortunately, my wife and I lost our son last December.
Im a dedicated Christian, more so than before.
Ive worked in an Off-Broadway Show (Tony and Tina's Wedding)

So... I dont think I ever have been so thankful that school is starting back up in a few days. The past few weeks, I have been bored of my ass... only looking forward to concerts, and phonecalls. Yes, the sleep has been very nice... but too much of that gets old as well. Getting back into the routine of things shall be nice.

So every week, I tend to go to 2-3 shows. Tonight I am heading to the Haven Lounge to see the bands 44 Down, and Sparing Avalon. Tomorrow night, it's back to the Hard Rock Live to see Noon Blue and Last Winter (which speaking of, 5 days ago marks the first time I got backstage at Hard Rock. I still have the wrist band on now!). And Saturday Ill be at Holly and Dolly's too see my good friends of Ambertone, Fall of Envy, and Carnevil.

I am doing so much with this radio show, the Atomic Lunch, because it means sooo much to me. The fact that it could possibly  - not happen... worries me, because I have put so much effort into this. I should know tomorrow the status.

I need to know the status tomorrow... because Sunday I will be a Real Rock 101.1 and their show, The Native Noise. That is a huge dream of mine, to be on my favorite radio station, and that is coming true... Im just praying things work out.

Other hectic things in my life... Ill be getting a job (I hope) at Universal. I go back a week from tomorrow to do the interview and what not. I went last month, and they told me to come back mid-August

My weight is shaping out nicely... Im basically at my lowest I have been since starting the diet. I am at 226.5, and I started at 264.5 - so things are shaping up nicely in that regard... but dieting is hard as hell!!!!

Hey guys... Its been forever and a day since I have said anything in here... I wonder if anyone will even check this anymore... oh well. If not, is now like a diary.

 

So, where to start.

 

I turned 21 in Vegas this past June. It was incredible. We stayed in the Luxor, gambled and drank all night, slept all day... and trust me, that was a good idea because it was at one point 114 degrees in sin city! HOT!!! At least you dont sweat in 5 min like you do in Florida.

Starting August 23rd, Ill be hosting an online radio show at www.wgkn.com. The show is called "The Atomic Lunch" with SmoKe (me) and 8-BaLL (my good friend Cory. We have a myspace for it. Do check it out and add us. The url is www.myspace.com/theatomiclunch. The show is all about Rock, with an emphasis on local rock here in O-town. In fact, we already have 9 local bands that are coming in. Possibly a 10th soon.

One of the bands we met is Audiology (www.myspace.com/audiology). I found out only a week after I heard them live at a local club that I knew the lead singer 13 years ago. Small world. I was best friend with his younger brother. I lost contact with him, but now we will be able to keep in touch once more.

Thursday I have callbacks at the Orlando Rep for the role of Charlie Brown in "Youre a good man, Charlie Brown". If I get cast, I will be a part of a professional theater for the first time in my life, which means Ill be getting paid to act. Monday I have a callback their for the play "Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing" and in November, I have a callback for Seussical the Musical - for the role of Horton the Elephant. Of all those callbacks, I want Horton the most (yea, Horton, not Charlie). Crazy, huh?

Im now a double-major at UCF. I was just a theater major, but I recently got accepted into the Radio/Television program at UCF, so I am double-majoring. However, if I get cast in the rep, my class schedule will be very small this term. But its ok, professional theater is an important thing to do. At least to try it once to see exactly what it is like.

Other than that, there isn't much else that is "new". Im still alive. Woodstock still kicks ass. We got a friend for the parakeet... that is about it.

So Happy New Years everyone!!! I know it has been a long time since I have posted so, I thought - while sitting here at the UCF library, to post.

As you may have figured, I am not a UCF student. First day of class was a couple weeks ago. I love it too for the most part.

I have been rehearsing every night of the week for the musical Cabaret, which will be my next on stage appearance. The show will go up Feb. 17-19, 23-26 and it is being done on the VCC East stage. If you want more information, let me know.

I still work the box office for the musical in downtown. I am acctually on a break temporarly because rehearsals for Cabaret are now on Saturdays. In a way I like the break, but I also miss the money.

Other than being a Golden Knight at UCF and a Nazi in Cabaret, there really isnt much new other than a busy life full of school, reheasals, and work occasionally. Other than that, I am still the same ol' Chad.

   Wait its a Musical has ended, and the experience was incredible, but the turnout was the exact opposite. I was hoping more people would come. The cast definately deserved it. They are one of the most talented casts I have had the opportunity to work with! The show itself went very well, and the people that did come to see it I know where touched!

My next show starts rehearsing the 3rd of JAnuary. I will be Ernst Ludwig in Cabaret, and those goes up mid-February. So I go from Jesus' father to a Nazi. The hard thing about this role is I gotta learn to speak German...

There isnt anything else that is THAT new really... other than the show, and my job, thats about it. The only other thing is that finals are Thursday, and once those are over, I am no longer a student at Valencia. I will be starting at UCF as a Theater Major January 9th. Only a couple years left!!! haha.

Ok, so what is new... i know!!!

I was accepted into the BA Theater Program at UCF!!!!!! I get to stay home, and I made it into a prestigous program too!!! I am SO thrilled!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I am hosting the halftime show for Friday Night Football now, which rocks, cause I have ON AIR time now!!! Makes me happy!!!!

im still single, so that isnt new, haha. And WAIT is going pretty well for the most part.

Ok, I am going to run. Comment, make me want to write in this thing still!!!! :-)

So, I never update this anymore... Grrr! I am TOO addicted to my myspace. LoL.

Ok, so we finally have a Zechariah, and now the cast is complete, thankfully. The bad thing is we have 2 Zechariah's at the moment, so one of them I need to call and thank for coming to help out, but let them go nicely... sometime being a director is hard.

Class was closed today, so there was no school! Thank Goodness! I am considering dropping a class for this semester, and there is only one elective - therefor, I can only drop that class, which is Modern Dance. But I am not for sure if that is what I am going to do. It is just so overwhelming, and I dont know.

I didnt get the 2nd job, which in a way is good, because I was going to be overloading myself way to much if I kept both jobs. The one I have is trying to get me more hours anyway, so I am pretty much happy.

I have 2 tests on Thursday... blah! I am so not ready for any of them. I am crossing my fingers and praying that I pass them both.

Hmmm... what else is new...

There realyl isnt much, other than the fact that I have the place to myself tomorrow night... so, any ideas as to what to do or who to invite? haha.

Well, I guess I better go study.. Ill do whatever it takes to update this thing on a more regular basis. One thing I dont do anymore is pay for the site, as you can tell by that crappy add up top. Blah!!!

So I am here at work, tired. I have been running errand all day for my dad since his car broke down, and am only working on 3-4 hrs of sleep... ITs like I already need a break. I have school and rehearsals tomorrow, then half a day off Friday before I go do Friday Night Football stuff. Also, we still dont have a Zechariah for WAIT!!! Grrr!!! Keep in mind, the first rehearsal for Zechariah is tomorrow night... AHHH!!!! Then Saturday, I work 9-8, then am going out with a friend afterwards... this week willbe a $150 week which isnt bad. It will be my best pay check here to date. The one I get Friday is $110. which is also my best to date until the $150 one comes out... anywayz... Im bored and tired... PS - I am done with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince... WOO HOO!!!! Ok, back to work... - Chadders -
